چکیده

Chalmers Publication Library (CPL) offers the possibility of retrieving research publications produced at Chalmers University of Technology. It covers all types of publications: articles, dissertations, licentiate theses, masters theses, conference papers, reports etc. Since 2006 it is the official tool for Chalmers official publication statistics. To ensure that Chalmers research results are disseminated as widely as possible, an Open Access Policy has been adopted. The CPL service is administrated and maintained by Chalmers Library.

Proceedings TFPIE 2015: the Fourth International Workshop on Trends in Functional Programming in Education

The goal of TFPIE is to gather researchers, professors, teachers, and all professionals interested in functional programming in education. This includes the teaching of functional programming, but also the application of functional programming as a tool for teaching other topics, e.g. computational concepts, complexity, logic and reasoning, and even disciplines, e.g. philosophy or music. TFPIE ...

2 4 D ec 2 00 5 — Review , submitted to JoLLI — Kees Doets and Jan van Eijck “ The Haskell Road to Logic , Maths and Programming ”

In university curricula, the subjects of programming and maths and logic tend to be separated. For instance, in the typical computer-science curriculum, mathematics and logic are taught according to the (dry) mathematical tradition, perhaps with modern concessions to help the less abstract minds. One sort of concession is to illustrate the implementability of selected mathematical concepts in s...

A Comparison of Functional and Imperative Programming Techniques for Mathematical Software Development

Functional programming has traditionally been considered elegant and powerful, but also somewhat impractical for ordinary computing. Proponents of functional programming claim that the evolution of functional languages makes their use feasible in many domains. In this work, a popular imperative language (C++) and the leading functional language (Haskell) are compared in a math-intensive, real-w...

Program Analysis and Transformation in Mathematical Programming by Joseph G . Young

Over the years, mathematical models have become increasingly complex. Rarely can we accurately model a process using only linear or quadratic functions. Instead, we must employ complicated routines written in some programming language. At the same time, most algorithms rely on the ability to exploit structural features within a model. Thus, our ability to compute with a model directly relates t...

Reliability analysis of a robotic system using hybridized technique

In this manuscript, the reliability of a robotic system has been analyzed using the available data (containing vagueness, uncertainty, etc). Quantification of involved uncertainties is done through data fuzzification using triangular fuzzy numbers with known spreads as suggested by system experts. With fuzzified data, if the existing fuzzy lambda–tau (FLT) technique is employed, then the comput...
